Mode of Operation
Programmable to send the GPS location every XX hours (user-configurable, usually once a day) when the asset is stationary.
Once vibration is detected, the unit automatically wakes up, sends an alarm and switches to move mode sending GPS every YY minutes for as long as the asset is in motion.
When in move mode, the Piccolo ATX-2S is configured to either stay awake for as long as the asset is in motion and report in real-time or go to sleep and wake up every YY minutes for as long as the asset is in motion.

Hybrid – Dual Mode for Trailer Tracking
When the Piccolo ATX 2S is wired to the external power source of a trailer the unit will perform as a dual mode hybrid unit for trailer tracking .Meaning as long as there is external power when the trailer is connected to the cabin the unit will be charged and will operate in real-time. When the cabin disconnects from the trailer the external power is disconnected and the unit will automatically switch from regular vehicle tracking mode to asset tracking mode, meaning the unit will send data 1-2 times a day when parked and will wake up automatically and send an alarm when vibration is detected, then switch to send data every XX minutes for as long as the vibration continues (asset is in motion or vibration is detected).
The unit will also send notifications to the server when and where the external power is disconnected and switch to operate on internal backup battery. Also, the unit sends a notification to the server when and where the external power is reconnected. With every GPS message, the unit sends the battery level it currently operates on.
